Class of '68 Quarterly E-Newsletter January 2004 Article Happy New Year! The crystal ball has dropped in Times Square and the many toasts, wishes, hopes and resolutions for the New Year have been made. Speaking of resolutions . . . did you make any resolutions this year? What have they been in past years? Did you want to keep in better contact with friends and family? Lose Weight? Start an Exercise Program, and stick with it? What do you want to accomplish this coming year? We all have a chance for actually succeeding on at least ONE resolution this year: Renewing and Keeping in contact with high school friends. Since our 35th-year-Reunion in August, I have heard from many of our classmates. They comment on the fun time they had getting back in touch with friends, seeing how classmates have matured (aka--'aged'!) and learning what we've done with ourselves since high school. For many who attended the reunion, this was their FIRST reunion ever and they said it would NOT be their last!! We have many avenues by which we can re-connect with classmates - Using our Alumni Directory, signing up on Classmates.com, Email, picking up the phone, etc. Yes, it does take time. Yes, it does take a bit of effort. And Yes, the rewards are very gratifying. Wouldn't it be wonderful to actually succeed with ONE resolution this year? I think GETTING & KEEPING IN TOUCH WITH CLASSMATES is one resolution even I can keep. Give it a try. In the words of one classmate: "It's been a blast!"
